Exit 37.
This exit is "N. Shingle Springs", "Mother Lode" and "Ponderosa" all in one.
Snow will still be on the mountains as here when I took this Friday, because it snowed this week near Placerville.







Turn Left over the freeway (no image).

Then turn Right on N. Shingle / Lotus Road....





After turning Right, above, you will go like 7.7 miles on this road (Lotus) before turning Right on Gold Hill Road.
Gold Hill Vineyard is not, of course, located on Gold Hill Road.

 The speed limit changes from 50 to 45 to 55......













At about 7.5 miles look for the Sutter's Mill School on the Left and turn Right directly across the street on Gold Hill Road across the street from this
school.
After you turn here, you travel like 3.7 miles and then turn Left on Cold Springs Road.















You will pass Gold Hill Olive Oil on the Left, but that is not Gold Hill Vineyard.













You will see this cross near the end of Gold Hill Road.



















Turn Left off Gold Hill Road on to Cold Springs Road. This is about 1.8 miles from Gold Hill Vineyard.




















You will pass this on the right.....






And him peeping out on your left......














Pass David Girard's Winery entrance (with the flags), below and prepare to slow down and turn right into Gold Hill's driveway at the top of the hill.















Gold Hill is about 1/4 mile beyond our neighbor, David Girard at the top of the hill.
It looks like this. Turn right into the driveway. (If you continue three miles, you will visit the Sutter's Mill park.)
